What To Wear.... Today!
Workwear's a tricky thing at this time of year - those thick black tights seem a bit too heavy for spring weather, but we haven't quite got our heads around the Summer bare-legged look yet.
Here's the perfect solution.. chunky sandals, rather than dainty heels, are the way to go. They'll add a tough, fashion edge to your look, while still looking professional and smart.
Avoid the matchy-matchy with a relaxed satchel bag, that picks up on the brown in the print.
And finish the look with just one piece of statement bling - this coin collar necklace from Boohoo looks like it'd cost a pretty penny, but amazingly, it's just £8!
Print jersey dress, £45 @ SimplyBe
Black chunky sandals, £90 @ Topshop
Blazer, £25 @ Dorothy Perkins
Satchel, £19.99 @ Zara
Coin necklace, £8 @ Boohoo

What Katie Bought..
With just one last chance to hit the shops, before the biggest wedding of the decade.. Kate Middleton looked surprisingly calm and collected this week, as she popped into Warehouse and Whistles to pick up some last minute honeymoon outfits, to wow William!
Looks like she's heading somewhere toasty, with this selection of floral sundresses from Warehouse..
Next stop.. Whistles! Kate snapped up this pretty frill blouse, which is exactly the same style that she wore in her engagement photos.
And to wear with her new blouse.. she chose a smart pair of spot-print trousers, at £125.

Next stop Goldenpoint, the Italian hoisery and lingerie specialist, to snap up a couple of bikinis..
And finally, a quick whizz around Peter Jones department store for her essential CK undies, and a smart pair of Marc Jacobs sunnies..
Not a bad haul, and a great start for a capsule holiday wardrobe! I wonder if she's heading to Primark next to snap up some last minute bargains?

Dannii's Luscious Lash Secret.
Dannii Minogue spent the day promoting Model Co's new lash-building product, Fiber Lash Brush On Lashes...sound pretty amazing, huh?
Being such a sucker for any celebrity-endorsed product, I couldn't wait to get my hands on a pack of this stuff and give it a try.. I have the worst, almost non-existent lashes, thanks to years of false-lash application... so an alternative to stick-on strips sounds good to me!
The kit contains two tubes.. one is just a normal black mascara, and the other is full of tiny white fibers that look a bit like cottone wool.
So here are my puny lashes completely mascara free.. Scary!
First you apply one coat of the black extension mascara...
Then you apply one coat of the white lash-fibers...
And finally... finish off with another coat of the lash extension mascara!
Considering how short my lashes were to start with, I think it's well worth £30, and a great alternative to lashes. My only criticism is that it can get quite 'cloggy', so I'd recommend using a lash comb, to separate the lashes a little bit after the final coat.

Burquini v's Bikini
I was talking swimwear this morning, with Fred MacAulay on BBC Radio Scotland. If you missed the show, you can listen again here..
http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b0074hh3
If bikini shopping fills you with fear, and a Nigella Lawson-style Burquini, seems like the only option this Summer.... don't despair! As promised, I have some great figure-flattering swimwear suggestions...
Best For Top-Heavy Girls-
If you have a big bust, you'll need a supportive top in a flattering style. Bra-sized, underwired tops are the way to go. Strong patterns help to blend the extra coverage into the style of the suit.
Halterneck styles give good uplift.
If you can't find a bra-sized bikini you like, go for a tie-back one, that you can adjust to fit perfectly.
Padded patterned bikini top, £34, and briefs, £22 by Episode @ www.houseoffraser.co.uk
Red asymmetric swimsuit, £14.99 @ www.hm.com
Best For Boyish Figures -
If you have a lean, boyish figure, with an undefined waist, you'll want to create a waistline, to give you a more feminine outline.
One-piece suits with contrasting waistbands, or cut-out details around the waist, are the simplest way to create an hourglass shape.

Best For Pear Shapes -
Don't try to cover your hips with big pants and boy shorts. Legs will look longer and leaner if you choose high-waisted, tie-side styles. They won't dig-in to your waist, and will give you a more streamlined shape.
Balance your figure with padded bikini tops, or frill, bow or ruffle details, to add shape to your bustline.
A darker coloured bottom, with a patterned or lighter coloured top, can help to make your hips appear smaller..

Best for Tums..
If you're tummy is your problem area, then a swimsuit with control panels will be ideal for you. Thankfully, retro swimwear is back in fashion.. and one-pieces are hot this summer!
Ruching around the waist area can help to soften any lumps and bumps.
Ruched swimsuit, £32 @ www.wallis.co.uk
Tummy control swimsuit, £28 @ www.kaleidoscope.co.uk

Best for Plus Size -
If you're plus-size or very curvaceous, you'll want to lenghten your body, and show-off some cleavage with a deep V-neck swimsuit, or tankini styles. This will help to lengthen your body. For extra coverage, swimskirts or dresses can be a good option...
